The World of eBooks Class
Wondering (or confused) about eBooks? If you'd like to learn more, join us for a class on Saturday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m., in the Margaret Rivers Room. Brian Kraft, librarian responsible for eBook services for the Washington County Library, will help us make sense of this exciting new resource. Topics covered include: eBook technology, publishing trends and issues, reading device basics, sources to acquire eBooks, and introduction to two free, library-available eBook services: "OverDrive" and "EBSCO" eBooks.
Note: Questions and tips about specific devices will not be covered in this class, but if you have an e-reader or tablet, please bring it to class for “show and tell”. This class is sponsored by the Stillwater Public Library Foundation.
