Hear, here! Hearing Loops Launch
-
You are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 19 at 7:00 pm for the Hearing Loop Launch at the Stillwater Public Library. The Stillwater Public Library’s Margaret Rivers Room is now looped for improved hearing, making this popular meeting space an even more important resource for our community. Dr. Jennifer Reynolds, audiologist, will introduce the new system.
To get connected and enjoy the benefits of hearing loops most people can use their current hearing aids, explained Reynolds. She suggests that people with hearing aids ask their audiologist if their instruments have a telecoil (t-coil) program and if they do, ask to have it activated. Once activated, simply press a button on the hearing aid or remote control to switch into the telecoil program. No headsets or neck loops needed!
For those without t-coil hearing aids, special head-sets will be available so everyone at the Loop Launch can experience the improved sound.
The hearing loop will allow users to participate more fully in meetings and activities at the library. “Our community is fortunate to have this valuable resource at the Stillwater Public Library,” affirms Reynolds. “Stay connected, it’s why we’re here!”
The Library’s hearing loop was made possible by grants and gifts to the Stillwater Public Library Foundation.
