The Great River Energy Bicycle Festival returns to historic downtown Stillwater for the Grand Finale. This vibrant St. Croix River community is known for its arts community, historic architecture and excellent restaurants. This event is a true celebration of the cycling culture, drawing cyclists from across the Upper Midwest. The Stillwater Criterium has an international reputation as the toughest criterium in North America, thanks to Chilkoot Hill, the brutal climb to the finish. The Stillwater course features two lung-busting hill climbs on each lap. And heart stopping downhill turns that will stretch the riders’ bike handling skills to their limits. The Expo opens at 10:30 a.m.; Amateur race at 11 a.m.; Women’s race at Noon; Amateur Hill Climb at 1:05 p.m.; Kids fun race at 1:35 p.m.; Men’s race at 2:05 p.m. and the Expo ends at 4 p.m.For more information, go to www.minnbikefestival.com.Great River Energy Bicycle Festival
