Canning under Pressure: The Use and Care of Pressure Canners

Pressure canning is a practical and safe way to obtain high enough temperatures necessary to preserve low-acid foods. Participants will learn the various types of pressure canners, essential parts of a canner and their care, steps in processing various foods in the canner and other canning equipment needs. This demonstration is presented by Geralyn Karl, Master Food Preserver and Certified Foods Judge.
