Bayport Derby Days

Come to Bayport for Day 2 of Derby Days on Saturday, September 15 to eat breakfast, play all day and dance all night! On the 5th Avenue Block, you will enjoy live music by Justin Roth with breakfast starting at 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. The cost is $7 for adults (12+ yr) and $5 for children. Tickets will be available for purchase the night before at the Taste of Bayport in Lakeside Park. The JR Car Show (Powerfest on 5th) will be from 8 - 10 a.m. on the 5th Avenue Block. The Softball Tournament will begin at 9 a.m. in Lakeside Park. For more information or questions regarding the Softball Tournament, contact Debbie Mulencord at 651-271-8406. The Story Hour & Essay Contest will begin at 10 a.m. at the Bayport Public Library. Enjoy story reading with Peggy Doeksen. Essay winners will be announced at that time and prizes will be awarded. For more information, please contact the Bayport Public Library at 651-439-4416. The Derby Medallion Hunt begins at 10 a.m. with the cash prize of $500. Clues will be released every hour at the Bayport Legion. Race your duck int he Duck Derby down the Perro Creek for prizes, starting at 11 a.m. in Perro Park. The cost is $5 per duck/ticket. Tickets are available to purchse in advance at Bread Art, LaCocinita, Croixdale, and City Hall. They are also available the previous day at Taste of Bayport in Lakeside Park or at the Pancake Breakfast. Bethlehem Lutheran’s Fall Fest will be from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Village Green. The Outdoor Communtity Service will be at 5:01 p.m. For more information, go to www.bethlehemstar.org. The Pet Parade at Croixdale is open to all pets. Registration will be onsite at 12:30 p.m. with the race beginning at 1 p.m. There will also be a lunch special available at Noon. Come down to the Bayport Legion for Texas Holdem’, must be 18 years old. Play for free prizes. The Kid’s Bowling Tournament starts at 2 p.m. at Woody’s Bowling Alley. The cost is $2 for children 5 - 15 years old. They must be accompanied by a parent.

 

Put on your dancing shoes and get down to Greystone Lot for the Street Dance, featuring Captain Cook Society, from 7 - 11 p.m.
