Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented professional to join our commercial printing team in a hybrid role combining Customer Service, Graphic Design, Prepress, and Light Production/Special Projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced print environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and understands both the creative and technical sides of print production.
You’ll serve as a key liaison between customers and production, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept to final product while maintaining exceptional quality and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service (CSR)

Serve as primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in person

Provide estimates, process orders, and manage job tickets

Coordinate timelines, materials, and specifications with production team

Ensure clear communication between customers, designers, and press operators
-
Proactively resolve issues and manage expectations
Graphic Design
-
Create and modify print-ready designs for a variety of materials (business cards, brochures, signage, direct mail, large format, etc.)

Prepare customer-supplied files for print

Ensure brand consistency and print accuracy

Collaborate with clients to refine concepts and finalize artwork
Prepress Operations

Review and preflight files for accuracy and print compatibility
-
Set up files for digital and offset printing (imposition, bleeds, color corrections)

Operate RIP software and prepare proofs
-
Ensure jobs meet press and finishing requirements before production
Light Production & Special Projects
-
Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, binding, laminating, mounting, packaging, etc.

Assist with specialty or custom projects

Support press operators and finishing department as needed

Maintain quality control standards throughout production
Qualifications
-
2+ years experience in commercial printing or related field preferred

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Working knowledge of print production processes (digital and/or offset)

Understanding of file setup, color modes, bleeds, imposition, and print specifications

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods when assisting in production

Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
